Operations Supervisor
Lyons-Mehama, Oregon | Full-time | Exempt | On-site | $65,000-$70,000 per year
Lyons-Mehama Water District is seeking a firsthand Operations Supervisor to lead daily water system operations, support field staff, and help ensure safe, reliable service for the Lyons and Mehama communities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a practical leader who values public service, safety, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily water production, treatment, and distribution operations.
- Lead, schedule, and mentor field staff while reinforcing safe work practices.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of water mains, service lines, valves, meters, and facilities.
- Monitor water quality and system performance to support regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with engineers and contractors on capital improvements and maintenance projects.
- Support budgeting, asset management, and on-call emergency response.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have Oregon Distribution 1 and Water Treatment 1 certification.
- One year’s experience in water utility operations, public works, or a related field.
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated success leading a field crew.
- Working knowledge of water distribution and treatment systems, operations, and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform field work in a variety of conditions.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a small utility or special district environment.
- Previous supervisory experience.

Field Technician
Linn/Marion County, Oregon
Successful candidates must pass pre-employment alcohol, drug and controlled substance testing and satisfactorily pass employment physically.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Ability to perform general labor duties.
- Ability to read meters, lift fifty (50) pounds and or the ability to perform work required.
- Outdoor work in increment weather.
